Australia Road trip 2025
So this year I decided I wanted to take Gemma Grao Art a ‘little’ further afield! I flew to Sydney, hired a campervan and travelled along the coast. I wanted to find some cool places to paint over there, but also wanted to see as many beaches as I could along the way. Here’s a list of the places I stopped off at and explored…
-
Coogee to Bondi coastal run
Bronte beach
Iceberg pool
Jimmy’s rooftop bar
Jam bar -
Surf and coffee shops
-
Breakfast spots
Watched the sunset over Sydney harbour from National Park
Cool bars and live music -
Lovely harbour and place to park up and stay with picnic area
Walk to Tomaree Summit -
Amazing sunset and walk along beach
-
Surrounded by kangaroos!
Amazing place to run for sunrise -
Lovely little spot to park up next to the beach with picnic areas
Beautiful beach! -
Amazing beach especially at sunrise
Top Shop for breakfast
The Northern Hotel for beers -
Ran to the lighthouse for sunrise
Lovely little beach called Wategos -
Beautiful hidden beach with a lovely little picnic area for campervans
-
One of my favourite beaches, it’s so hidden! You can see why they’ve called it Dreamtime
-
I stopped off here to watch the sunset on the beach and parked up to make some food in the van overlooking the beach
-
I did the Wedding Cake Rock Walk which leads to this beach, and it was incredible! definitely worth the walk to get there
-
Walked to the lighthouse and the views were incredible at the top
-
Beautiful beach with a great place to park up in the van overlooking the sea
-
Started at Greenfield Beach, did the White Sands Walk and ended up at Hyams Beach - they are all beautiful beaches with white sand. Went snorkelling and was swimming in the sea with dolphins right next to me. The sunrise and sunset here were beautiful
-
Pretty harbour with a lively pub, I ended up staying in their car park after being in Jervis Bay
